Bringing nature indoors, there are large open spaced balconies, library nooks and folding doors that open wide to a terrace boosting amazing green garden views. Vaulted pine ceilings and detailed wood craftsmanship bring a warmth and charm to this home. The wood floors are made out of local wood called ubingue and the doors and windows are made out of a local wood called cedro.
The 3rd floor hosts a large loft (2 bedrooms) and there are 2 spacious bedrooms on the middle floor; all windows upstairs open to the canopy of mature tall trees outside. The 2 bedrooms on the middle floor are in the back, and opening to the covered balcony (with 3 folding doors) there is a large open plan living space with a library nook on the far end, dinning space in the middle, and the kitchen facing East letting in the morning light. One spacious bathroom is set behind the library nook and serves this upstairs unit.
You can use the entire house as one giant 3 story family home, or you have the option for 2 separate living spaces each with their own living and kitchen. The main entry opens into the staircase (with laundry under the stairs), and the upstairs may be separated merely by closing the 2nd entry door accessing the lower floor.
The 1st floor of the Main House hosts a giant kitchen, and is a cooks dream with dark granite counter tops and sturdy cement shelves, LED lights. One can cook and still be part of the activity in the living room as this lower floor design has the same open floor plan as the upstairs kitchen-living. There is a large master bedroom on the first floor as well with a large master-bath (with shower, terracotta tiles, and black slate counter tops). A second social bathroom is off of the living room. Large windows with wooden shutters are on all sides of the living-dinning-kitchen creating a “living outdoors” feeling while enjoying the coziness inside this one of a kind adobe home.
